I've been given the STAR position and also the new PlayPlace Manager at a local McDonald's in Ellicott City, MD. I am so excited. I've worked my first week there and really love it.

Great ideas, shows a wide range of the oppotunities available to those people who want to be and are involved in emergency services, volunteers and others, all over Australia. Would be nice to see some info about W.A. St. John people voluntary and positions too.

Great site however the search engine needs to be a lot more flexible. For example other sites allow the user to browse through the Postitions Vacant notices which is quite helpfull for those of us that are not searching for a specific position and as we all know, prospective employers do not always advertise a position under it's correct title.

I work for a silver restoration company. We have been looking for a trained silversmith for over 2 1/2 years with no success. In our trade, mechanic and repairman are interchangable terms. I keep looking through the web for a way to find people, by job classifications, who are looking for work. I also look for jobsearch companies who might have a prospective employee for us.

My main problem is that few, to less than few, companies offer a search on trades type categories. With your search, I found blacksmiths which is in a like type category, but it did not lead to what I needed. With the fact that our trade is suffering from a lack of trained personnel, I would think that companies would flock to a website that was geared to finding them trained/skilled/very valuable employees. So, why doesn't one exist? Thank You.
